My name is Nishka and today I am talking about The Water Project!
Lots of people don't get water in Africa!

• There are 3 million people who need water because people who get water is dirty! 
• 
  
• Did you know that the sea animals eat plastic because people throw rubbish in the sea? Well, it is bad because when humans drink dirty water, that is what will happen to the sea animals but a little different. 
• They eat rubbish and then when the plastic goes inside their tummy, they die! When the sharks want to eat the sea animals which have rubbish inside their tummy, the sharks eat them and then the sharks die!
• One of the most important resources that we have on planet earth is water. Without water, we would not survive. 
• 
  
• In NZ almost everyone can get free, clean drinking water. However this is not the same in all parts of the world. 
• 
  
• The Water Project is helping to solve this issue and bring drinking water to places that do not have it.

• I think in Africa, they should make a dairy because then they will have clean water to drink and fresh milk!

Garry is professional at Chess! Chess is an Indian game which is hard to play when you first get it but easy to play when you get used to it! So I have to write 2 good facts about Chess and 2 bad things about Chess.

2 Good Ways
I am a professional at Chess and I love to play Chess! I love to play with my partner because he also knows how to play Chess! We both love to play Chess!

I am going to try and get better at Chess because I want to be the best! I will want to be better than my partner!

2 Bad Ways
Chess it boring because there is really nothing to do and they didn't add much detail to play Chess. Chess is the worst game ever! I wish Chess was made from Christchurch!

Hi everyone! My name is Nishka and today I am going to be talking about the Summer Learning Journey, Teaser Edition! Well, let me talk a little bit about the Summer Learning Journey, Teaser Edition! It is similar to the real Summer Learning Journey because it is showing us the activities to practise the real Summer Learning Journey!

So, first of all we had Lorde which her real name was Ella! We had to make a Venngage about Ella/Lorde.

The Amazing,Cool Friend/Visitor!

This morning we had a friend/visitor here in Yaldhurst Model School! We went to the Wharehui to see a dog which was a Dalmatian dog! It's name was Baxter and it's handler was Chris! He was a person who would help dog's if they are hurt or sore!

We learnt something from Chris and we got to listen to the song...



IF A DOG IS ON IT'S OWN' LEAVE IT ALONE! This was my favourite part because the song was so fun to sing along the song! The song thought us how to take care of the dog!









Miss Walters took a picture of Miss Tebbett petting Baxter! Miss Tebbett loved petting Baxter! She liked how Baxter listened to Chris for everything he said!








 We had Dylan to go in the front to pretend that Baxter pooped on the ground and he pick up the poo poo!

Yaldhurst Model School Goes To Town!

Hi everyone!

This was my favourite day on Wednesday 13th November 2019 was a special day because we got to go… Town! YMS got to go Town! It was so much fun there because we got to go at a show where people play music! They played lots of songs like Frozen, Harry Potter and lots more!




My most favourite one was the Harry Potter one! I am a huge fan of Harry Potter! If you are in Yaldhurst Model School then you will already know so you really don’t need to read. I love Harry Potter and I know lots of facts about Harry Potter because I have watched the movies! I love the Harry Potter music so much and Miss Walters even made a video.




We also listened to Star Wars and Frozen! Out of Frozen and Star Wars I think my favourite is Frozen because Star Wars is kind of a boy's movie so ya and here is a image!










After the songs, we got to go at Margaret Mahy Park! We first had to eat lunch and then we got to go to the playground we had to listen to the teacher's rules before we got to play. we had to eat our lunch first we're not all of them how much you can eat and then you had to wait for all the others that it's fair for the others to play at the playground. my favourite part at the playground was the big Steve slide which was so fun it was really high first you had to climb a rock or then you slide down the steep slope which is so much fun because you're very high up. The slide was actually kind of stiff so it was actually kind of slippery!

Hi everyone! My name is Nishka and today I am going to be talking about Guy Fawkes!

To myself, Guy Fawkes was a scary day because... I will tell you this in a set of slides that we have done! Speaking of slides, I will actually tell you some about the slides!

So, last term our class and TM1 have been working on a set of slides called Guy Fawkes! The set of slide's was we needed to find information about what happened on Guy Fawkes Day!

Miss Walters Has Got Crutches!

Hi Awesome Bloggers!

It is your awesome Nishka back with another blog post! I am going to be talking about something really sad that I don't like. Miss Walters has got crutches! I hate what has happened to her, Miss Walters has sprained her ankle! :( 

So how it happened was that Miss Walters is moving houses and when she was moving houses, something happened really badly, Miss Walters tried to paint on the ladder but suddenly she fell of!

My Holidays!

Hi there! 
My name is Nishka and today I am talking about my holidays! So what I did in the holidays was so fun so please like, comment and read!

Sleepover With Priya! 

So what I did was pretty fun because I got to have a sleepover with my friend Priya and she has got a little baby brother! Priya's little baby brother is 3 months old! He is so cute and adorable! I was like " I need to keep him! He is so cute! " I kept saying that to my friend Priya. Priya actually said that " You can keep the baby if your mum allows me to your house! ". 

Priya is so pretty and she normally looks after the baby! When I was at her house for a sleepover we both looked after the baby! We slept at Priya's house for 1 week in the school holidays!

That is it for the sleepover but now it is time for investigation! 

Investigation! 

So we had a 2 week holiday so we were bored. I told my family that we should go on a investigation! My family said " That will be so much fun! We might find cool stones! " So when we started the investigation we found a diamond! So when I read my minerals book I found out that diamonds are the hardest stones ever!

Would You Rather Never Be Able To Eat!

Hi everyone! Today I will be doing Would You Rather Never Be Able To Eat. So I had to decided form cake or ice-cream! This was a little tricky for me because I only like rainbow cake but I chose cake. 

I don't like cake that much because I don't like the frosting on cake, some cakes are too dry and some are too soggy, some are too sugary plus some of the cake flavours are really terrible in taste.

Creative Maths Part 2

Hi bloggers,

Today I tried to make some fruit sticks with my parents. It was a great learning experience, as I got a learn to do some addition with fruits.
Below is a picture of what we did today with fruits, ( addition while putting each fruit piece on the stick/skewers).








Today I tired something with a bunch of grapes. I took out 3 small bunches from the big bunch; a bunch of 10 grapes and 2 small bunches with five grapes in each bunch. I realized that if you focus properly, there is something to learn in everything, whether it be food or anything else.

Creative Maths!

Hi guys

Today I am trying a new challenge with food; trying some mathematical equations with it eg. addition, subtraction, multiplication and fractions.

Below is a picture of a pizza.We can divide the pizza into many fractions and share with your friends or family as seen below.

Below is a picture of a mango. I would like to show that you can do a lot of stuff with a mango. You can take out some slices from a mango then you can multiply those slices into smaller cubes (pieces).

Attached is a picture below as to what you can do with a mango and also experience

some maths at the sametime.

Food Challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I am doing a Food Challenge!

So what the activity said was set a timer for 1 minute and see how much of a carrot you can eat. Take a picture of the full carrot and then take a picture of the before and after!

Today my mum and dad have been doing some research about Kokoda. Kokoda is a Fijian food which is only in Fiji. You can only find this in Fiji and nowhere else. I is made of fresh fish and fresh coconut milk also it has a lot of other ingredients.

Seasons!

Hi everyone! My name is Nishka and today I have some special news for all of you! I am going to be talking about seasons! There are 4 seasons that are different. You know how there is 4 seasons are 3 are in each. Well, there are 12 months so 4 x 3 = 12! Now you get it, right?

Okay now, here are the seasons! 

First is Summer! Summer comes in every December, January and February! Summer is lovely and so hot so you guys would rather have Ice Cream or Ice Block! Make sure if you are going to the beach you put sunscreen on and you vegetables grow! Look at the hot tree!   

Second is Autumn! Autumn is in March, April and May! Autumn is an orange and yellow tree mixed up! It is just like fire! Anyways, a Autumn Tree is a tree where all of the leaves fall down and sometimes it might be raining!

Third is Winter! Winter is in June, July and August! Winter has no leaves and it will always be windy, raining, cold and more! The Grass will freeze into an Icicle! All of the plants die!

Ice Skating!

Hi and Welcome everyone to my new blog post! Today I'm talking about Ice Skating! I have been there but if you didn't know that I am a year 4, well I didn't go Mount Hutt because I have a travelling emotion which makes me vomit when I go on long drives! ( I wish I went to Mount Hutt 😢 )  

Ice Skating is so much fun because you get to learn how to do Ice Skating if you do the lessons! I learnt how to Ice Skate from the lessons that I did! I learnt to spin, go backwards and other cool tricks!

 

I did a dance competition when I was only 7 years old! I had a partner called Alisa! We had a great time and me and my partner won a gold trophy!

Stairs and Slides!

Tena Koutou bloggers! I am Nishka and our class has finally finished our board game! We have got it on the Te Mahuri class blog! My team is Nishka which is me, Dylan and Alex! Our game board is called Stairs and Slides! 

We made our video for Digi Awards! Miss W helped us to record it. Someone will pick who is the winner after they have seen our video, then if somebodies team wins then we have to go on stage! 

What we did first is decided our board game and then we chose one! After we cut our pieces out from cardboard then we painted it so it looks fantastic! Then we got to practice saying what we needed for our video and made it!

If you don't know what Digi Awards is then I will tell you! Digi Awards is where you record something for your game!

Tena Koutou Bloggers! Today I am going to talk about the class reporters that we had! We had people like Nishka (me.) Well I didn't really go today. But wait! We always have class reporters on Fridays! Today who had class reporters? Emma (my best friend), Angel-Mey, Paige B ( I had to write Paige B because we have two Paige's and the other Paige will be like 'What?!' ) Anyways. Let's keep on going! Why People Want To Sing?

Hi everyone! My name is Nishka and today I am talking about Why People Want To Sing? Well I am going to tell you right now!

Please read, comment, like and enjoy!

People want to be a singer because when people listen to your songs on YouTube, they will try and find you so that they can give you money! Some people on the comments say the being a singer is nice but it does not mean about money, it just means looking after yourself!

You guys have to believe right now so that you want to be a singer, go ahead but if you didn't know this, it will take a lot of practise to be a good singer! 

Let me tell you why I also want to become a singer! Well I like how people sing a they sing so lovely accept Ariana Grande who always swears but she is good at singing! Anyways, we will not talk about that, we will talk about why I want to sing! So I feel like singing because lots of people sing lovely and I really want to sing like them! I have been practising a lot and I am getting better! 

If you guys want to become a singer then go on and become a singer!

Countries That I Know!

Hi there bloggers! It is me Nishka and today I have something special... I am talking about the Countries I Know!

So, let's start!

  New Zealand is my home country!

            Let's begin the adventure!           


Where I live is in New Zealand! New Zealand is a beautiful country where there are a ton of flowers in nature! You guys should come over to New Zealand at my house so that I can show you everything around here!



Let's say... Australia is next!

I have been to Australia this easter!
We stayed there for 4 days and we lived at my cousins house where my mum's sister lives! When we had nothing to do, we went on the boat and we got to jump of in the ocean since we were the biggest family! My mum and my mum's sister was so scared! We saw lots of animals there!

  

Next is... Fiji!

I have been to Fiji one million times and it is so beautiful there! It is so hot there but we got to stay at my cousins house and have Ice Cream, Pizza and so much more! We also stayed at my nana's house which has a lot of mosquitoes!




Now is... India!


There is a beautiful place there which is called the temple and you have to pray in there! It is very dirty there and there are so much poor people there that don't have money, food or anything else that's why we need money to give to the temple and the god gives it to the poor people!




Last is...  Dubai!

Dubai is a country with a ton of sand and hot there is well! There are so much camels! You will see lots of city's  and you will see a circle with ton's of city's! My dad has been to Dubai as well!
