KS Camping Ground Sites

Hey people! It's your girl! Anyway, today for the Summer Learning Journey activity, we did a maths activity! It was all about area! What we had to do is colour the squares where we wanted the tents to be!

First we started from small rectangles, to big rectangles! Then we had to find out what campsite would make the most money because each night when the people stay at the campsite, they get charged $15! So, we had to find the biggest campsite, count the boxes, and times that by 15. We had to work it out on Jamboard!

Jamboard is something where you can work out new things and you will know all the steps in seconds! I learnt how to do everything in just one day! I think you guys should try it out! Just search up jamboard.google.com or go and press this link ⇨ Jamboard

Here are my slides we used to do this! Please look underneath this text! (don't even know why I say that...).

So, did you like it? Please reply down in the comments section below! Do you think area is fun? Please answer this question! I will see you guys tomorrow (if I can bring my chromebook to the hotels)!

Until now, Peace Out ^.^

👇

So, did you like it? Please comment down in the comment sections below! Now, it is time for my question for you guys to answer!

What would you most likely eat in Summer out of the photos I put in my Google Drawings?

What would you least likely eat in Summer out of the photos I put in my Google Drawings?

Please answer these questions! Anyway, I hope you guys have a safe day today and make sure you always stay happy! Keep smiling!

UV Indicator!

What is up People! Today we did something called UV Indicator! A UV Indicator tells you what the temperature is. Like how high the temperature is or how low the temperature is! I will be telling you the rest of the information underneath this text in a screencastify video!

My Screencastify Video would not upload so I had to put it on a Google Slide. I really hate hearing myself in a Screencastify Video because sometimes I start shaking and get really nervous but I wanted to do it so that the people who don't really like to read can watch the video of why we did this and other things.

I would like to tell you guys some sad news that is going to on on Friday 1st January 2021 I might not be doing the Summer Learning Journey on the Friday 1st January 2021 because we are going to Lake Tekapo, then we are going to Mt Cook, after Mt Cook, we are going to Wanaka. We are packing all our stuff today to get ready. I might be able to sneak my chromebook in so I can keep track of the Summer Learning Journey.

Anyway, let me show you my UV Indicator Google Drawing!

The picture is pretty big so that you guys can read all the writing that it has! How would you create your Uv Indicator? Please reply to me! I hope you guys have a awesome morning, afternoon, or night! Bye!

Until now, Peace Out! ^_^

It's Cool to be Kind!

Hey Guys! Today we did something called It's Cool to be Kind! This was a pretty easy activity to do because today we just had to find a comment that someone published to your blog post, screenshot it, and then reply to them. We had to add their comment and the comment that you did to them on a Google Drawing!

Let me now show you the comment that I did you Fiona Rua (Mrs/Miss Rua)! My comment and her comment will be on the Google Drawing Template.

In the middle box is what I replied to Fiona Rua (Mrs/Miss Rua)!

I had a great time doing this because before we started this activity, we got to play a game called Interland! Interland is a really fun game about kindness!

Here is the link to the game! Interland is a really fun game! It teaches you how to share kindness to each other! Bullies are also humans. So lets share them that love!

Will you share all the kindness to the bullies to make them feel loved? Please reply to me! Bye!

^ . ^ Until now, Peace Out! ^ . ^

Origami Art!

!^ - ^ Hey everybody ^ - ^! Today we did some Engerinning called Origami Art! There can be many ways to make Origami Art like paper fortune tellers, 3D Art and many more! I do not know much about Origami Art. I am pretty new to it but I am not new to paper fortune tellers. They are really easy to make! I have a whole collection of them but I lost most of them.

Some of them ripped or some of them got lost. I even lost my favourite one! Or it probably ripped. I don't really know and I don't really want to know. Anyway, today for the Origami Art, I did a Paper Fortune Teller! I know how to make them so I decided to do make a Paper Fortune Teller since it was the easiest option I could think of.

I made I tiny Paper Fortune Teller so please do not judge. It is not completely done but I tried make one without numbers. I tried so many times to draw a Panda on my Fortune Teller so that it would look cool but instead, it turns out to be clockwise. Sometimes even anti-clockwise! It is very annoying! So I had enough of making an animal Paper Fortune teller and make a regular one.

I say that if you want to make an animal Paper Fortune Teller, find a template and print it out instead of drawing it like me. If I kept on drawing on my Paper Fortune Teller, then it would never turn out. I was starting to get frustrated but then my mother told me to calm down and take your mind of it. So I did and it turned out pretty well and I finally made the Paper Fortune Teller with no animal on it!

Let me show you my Paper Fortune Teller I made! (beware, it might me really small and really tiny...). Please look underneath this text!

So, did you like it? It is pretty tiny but I do not mind. Anyway, I have some questions for you guys to answer in the comment section below!

Question 1. If you were to make a Paper Fortune Teller, would you make it big, or small?

Question 2. Would you always take it around with you for other people to use?

Question 3. Would you play with it everyday?

Please reply to me! I will see you guys later! Bye! (I don't even like my Paper Fortune Teller).

Until now, Peace Out Peeps!

Building a Dam!

Hey Bloggers! Today for the Summer Learning Journey blog post, we are Building a Dam. A Dam is something humans and beavers make. They use this to control the water flow (I think). Anyway, today it was raining so I couldn't go outside to get any materials like sticks or stones.

Mum had the idea of using lego but I used something called Google Slide Drawings. I use this presentation to practice my drawings that I have done and get better at them! I also used this slide to make my Optical Illusions! I didn't want to show my slides because I was to nervous, I know I am pretty bad at art so I use this slide to practice.

Please look at my picture underneath this text!

So this is my picture. The brown things are the Dam made out of sticks! Then those orange things are the fish! The fish are having a race. They are going around and around 3 times.

These 3 fishes have already gone around 2 times so the have one more lap! =================================So, did you like my blog post? Please reply to me! I will see you guys on my next blog post! Bye! =================================

Peace Out Peeps!

Pigpen Code

Hey everyone! Today for the Summer Learning Journey, we did something called Pigpen Code! Pigpen is pretty much code writing. There are many different ways to write stuff in different codes! There is one called Morse Code (my favourite code), Playfair Cipher and Atbash Cipher. I haven't learnt the Playfair CIpher and the Atbash Cipher but I know Morse Code because I have seen it in a book! It was really fun finding things in Morse Code! I did Pigpen Code because I wanted to try something new! Here is my picture! ============================================================================

Can you find out the code? What beach do you think it is from? Good Luck trying to find the code! ======================================== I  had joyful/fun time doing this because I experienced something new that I thought would be quite hard but it actually turned out to be easy! ======================================== If we do anything like this for the next Summer Learning Journey blog post, then I am looking for a challenge and maybe try a harder code. ======================================== Hope you guys are having a safe day! I wish you guys luck trying to find out what my code says! Stay Safe! Bye! ========================================

My Hana Kōkō Design

Hello everyone! Today for the Summer Learning Journey, I decided to do something called My Hana Kōkō Design! My Hana Kōkō Design is where you design a new Santa costume! It was fun making this! Anway, I say this was an easy activity to do because instead of me using Images from Explore or anywhere else, I used shapes!

I decided to be creative and think hard of how I should do it! If I do anything like this, then I am thinking maybe that I should try be more creative and try use different colours! I think that the different colours would make the outfit look much more cooler and prettier! Let me show you my picture!

Sorry the link for example doesn't work. It is because I downloaded this picture.

I decided to have Santa's outfit but make it into a Summer Santa's outfit! I added a few flowers to make it look a bit different from Santa's real outfit.

So, how would you create Santa's new outfit? Please comment below! I hope you guys have a safe day! Bye!

Optical Illusions

Hey everybody! I am Nishka and you are new to my blogger, than hi! Anway, today for the Summer Learning Journey, we had to do something call Optical Illusions! Optical Illusions are very cool because you get to draw or create any type of shape you want then you can make it look 3D! I would like to be honest, I really like 3D art.

So, today I tried drawing an Optical Illusion on my chromebook! Today I decided to draw on my chromebook because when I wanted to try it out, I thought it would be best to do it on paper but it got hard when I drew on paper so I decided to switch on my chromebook! Well, today I decided to use a triangle as my Optical Illusion because I thought a triangle would be cool!

Please look at my picture below this text!

Let me tell you how I drew this on my chromebook step by step!

1. Find a Optical Illusion

2. Click and Drag to Google Slides or Google Drawings

3. Use line and go through the outlines

So, I hope my steps helped you try and create an Optical Illusion! Now, it is time for you to answer this amazing question (which actually might not be that amazing)! Would you rather draw on your laptop/chromebook or on a piece of paper?

Please reply to me! Have a safe day! Bye! :3

Tānerore

Hey everyone! I am Nishka and today I am going to be showing you some of my artwork we had to do for the Summer Learning Journey! This was really fun to make! What the artwork is call is Kowhaiwhai!

Anyway, the reason why I named this blog post Tānerore is because it is the sun of Tāmanui and is another word for shimmering air. As Tānerore does his haka for his own caring mother.

Now that I have told you some information about why I named my blog post "Tānerore", let me show you guys my Kowhaiwhai art! Please look at my picture underneath this text!

I am proud of this because I took my time and I didn't rush. I don't really like showing my artwork in public because it is kind of embarrassing but I thought I should give it a shot.

So, what my mistakes were was accidentally writing the wrong title and drawing the two middle drawings close to each other. I am trying to improve myself and get better at drawing.

I think I am much better at drawing on a chromebook than on a piece of paper but because I had to draw a Kowhaiwhai, I thought it would be easier on paper that on chromebook.

Now that you have seen my art, I think I should not be that embarrassed anymore because normally in Summer Learning Journeys, you have to show some art and in my personality, I like doing maths and arts. I was very surprised when I looked on to this blog to find out that there was art and maths!

I am changing the topic! How rude of me. Anyway, I have a few questions for you guys to answer in the comments! Would you rather do maths or art? Do you like solving equations or do you like being creative? My last question is do you like doing both maths and art? Please reply back to me! I will see you guys in my next blog post!

For now, Peace Out!

Fishing False - SLJ

Hello Everybody! Today I am back with another blog post! For today's blog post, we had to do something called Fishing False! Fishing False was pretty fun because we got to create a comic book! It was pretty fun! When we made our comic, we had to guess what the characters were saying because we had to watch a video. No one talked in the video so we had to try and guess what they were saying! It was fun!

We had to answer some questions before we moved onto writing the comic. Before we start talking more about this, let me show you the work we did! Please look at my slides I did below this text!

So, these are the slides we had to do is people signed up for the Summer Learning Journey! Let me tell you how I did it! First, we had to copy the workbook and put it in our Literacy Folder. Since I did not have a Literacy Folder, I put it in my Reading Folder! Next, we had to read the text and answer some questions! After answering the questions, we had to watch a video where no one talked! Then we made a comic trying to guess what the characters were saying!

While I was writing, my hands started to get tried -_-. I kept on going though. This is what we pretty much did today! Do you like making comics? Please reply to my blog post! I will see you guys tomorrow! Bye!
