Tānerore

Hey everyone! I am Nishka and today I am going to be showing you some of my artwork we had to do for the Summer Learning Journey! This was really fun to make! What the artwork is call is Kowhaiwhai!

Anyway, the reason why I named this blog post Tānerore is because it is the sun of Tāmanui and is another word for shimmering air. As Tānerore does his haka for his own caring mother. 

Now that I have told you some information about why I named my blog post "Tānerore", let me show you guys my Kowhaiwhai art! Please look at my picture underneath this text!

I am proud of this because I took my time and I didn't rush. I don't really like showing my artwork in public because it is kind of embarrassing but I thought I should give it a shot.  

So, what my mistakes were was accidentally writing the wrong title and drawing the two middle drawings close to each other. I am trying to improve myself and get better at drawing. 

I think I am much better at drawing on a chromebook than on a piece of paper but because I had to draw a Kowhaiwhai, I thought it would be easier on paper that on chromebook.

Now that you have seen my art, I think I should not be that embarrassed anymore because normally in Summer Learning Journeys, you have to show some art and in my personality, I like doing maths and arts. I was very surprised when I looked on to this blog to find out that there was art and maths! 

I am changing the topic! How rude of me. Anyway, I have a few questions for you guys to answer in the comments! Would you rather do maths or art? Do you like solving equations or do you like being creative? My last question is do you like doing both maths and art? Please reply back to me! I will see you guys in my next blog post!

Fishing False - SLJ

Hello Everybody! Today I am back with another blog post! For today's blog post, we had to do something called Fishing False! Fishing False was pretty fun because we got to create a comic book! It was pretty fun! When we made our comic, we had to guess what the characters were saying because we had to watch a video. No one talked in the video so we had to try and guess what they were saying! It was fun! 

We had to answer some questions before we moved onto writing the comic. Before we start talking more about this, let me show you the work we did! Please look at my slides I did below this text!

 

So, these are the slides we had to do is people signed up for the Summer Learning Journey! Let me tell you how I did it! First, we had to copy the workbook and put it in our Literacy Folder. Since I did not have a Literacy Folder, I put it in my Reading Folder! Next, we had to read the text and answer some questions! After answering the questions, we had to watch a video where no one talked! Then we made a comic trying to guess what the characters were saying! 

While I was writing, my hands started to get tried -_-. I kept on going though. This is what we pretty much did today! Do you like making comics? Please reply to my blog post! I will see you guys tomorrow! Bye!

SLJ Starter Activities

Hello People! Today I going to be showing you a new Art Coloring Book Activity me and my class have been using! Well, the activity we have been using is Art Coloring Book! It is a really fun activity and you get to be creative any way you want to be! Let me show you some coloring's I have done so far!

Before I upload my photos, let me tell you why we are using this app! Well, we are using this app for something called the Summer Learning Journey! The Summer Learning Journey is where you look at the activities and you try the activities to earn points for commenting and publishing your blog post! The Summer Learning Journey starts at Monday 14th December 2020.

Our Celebrations!

Hey People! I am Nishka and you already know that. Anyway, this might be a bit new and interesting for you guys. Let me just talk about it. Today we are going to be talking about Celebrations! You guys probably don't know about it so let me tell you! 

Celebrations is something we do each term. We don't celebrate anything but we celebrate one thing each term. We celebrate our work! When we celebrate our work, we have to post something from this term and it has to be at least 3 items to post. Maths, Reading, and Writing is what we celebrate. Today our whole class celebrated Writing. For Writing, we use Google Documents. For Reading and Maths, our class uses Google Slides.

After we put our work on a Google Document or Google Slides, we show the teacher and then when our teacher says yes, then we have to post it on Hero (Linkedin).  When we are posting our work on Hero (Linkedin), we have to write some information about why we posted this and why we decided to pick these 3 Google Slides or Google Documents! After that, we publish our blog post! Have you ever posted something on Hero (Linkedin)? Let me show you an example of my Celebrations!

Holes

🤍Hi Everybody 🤍 

I am Nishka and I bet you already know that. Anyway, today i am going to tell you some parts of the story, Holes! Holes is an excellent book by Louis Sachar! Louis Sachar is an excellent story writer! So, let me tell you some parts of the Holes story! There is a boy named Stanley Yelnats. Stanley always gets bullied by his parents, his classmates and his teachers! Have you noticed something about Stanley's name? If you haven't, let me tell you! Stanley's last name is spelt backwards from his first name! This is call palindrome. Cool, right? Anyway, I will be telling you the rest of the story in my Biteable video!

Super Money!

Hi Bloggers!

I am Nishka and today I will be telling you what we have learnt just today a few hours ago! So, let me tell you all about what we have learnt! It was a boy and his name was Jeff. Jeff is a really nice guy! He taught us all about money! If you know a lot about money, let me tell you some more information about money! Money is a very valuable thing to have and if you want the money, you have to earn it. To earn money, you have to work hard and do some chores!

Money can e really hard to earn and really easy to spend. So, what we mostly did was see how much money it was worth then after doing that,  we had to add up the money. We skipped stages and we went to stage five! Stage five was pretty easy to do! After doing stages, we earned badges! 

Well, that is mostly it! Bye!
