SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #3 - Vector Art!

Hi there bloggers! Can you guess who it is (drum roll in my head...), it is Nishka (bet you probably already knew that hehe)! Anyway, I made this blog post because it is are and I also loveeeeeee art! Art is so fun! Besides that, this blog post is about Vector Art! Now, you may or may have not heard about Vector Art before, so, if you don't understand, watch this video!

Vector Art timelapse video

So, did you see the video? I hope you now know what Vector Art is if you didn't! Now that you have seen that, for this blog post, we had to create a Christmas Decoration from Vector Art! And then, we had to make that represent something that is unique to you and your family, I have made an ornament out of Vector Art and then put what is unique to me and my family!

Here is the Google Drawing!

Family is quite unique for me and my family thinks the same! This is because we have more boys in out family and we are all quite short! We also like opposites from each other!

Underneath this text is where I originally got the picture of the cartoon ornament from so I would like to give credits to them for making it!
Anyway, now that you have read this hugeee toilet roll of words, I will have to say that this is the end of this blog post! But, of course, I will post another one tomorrow (if I have time)!

Have you ever made Vector Art?
Would you like to try Vector Art?
What is unique to you and your family?

I will see you all tomorrow (hopefully)! Hope you guys have a great day, evening and night! Bye!

It is me Quein again from the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. Well done on another engaging and well thought out blog post. I really enjoy your blog posts as they are filled with positivity, instruction, links and encouragement. The Vector Art that you created looks amazing and I really enjoyed how festive it looks. Green is one of my favourite colors. What are your favorite colors? I really enjoy spending time with my family during christmas time !!!!

Do you have any tips for using vector art, especially for beginners like me?

Keep up the Amazing work and I am looking forward to your next post!!!

    1. Hi there Quein! Thank you so much for commenting on my blog post! My favourite colour is also green! I like green because it is a nature colour! I also really like purple! I think that purple is quite of a warm colour!

Since you were asking for some tips on how to create some Vector Art, let me tell you some! My tips for Vector Art is to use Curve a lot more that Polyline. This is because Polyline gives you a lot of sharp corners while Curve gives you smooth corners! Also, try place an image down and trace it! Once you have done that, try add the details by zooming in to see it better! I really hope that this helps you!

If you were to make Vector Art right now, what picture would it be?

I hope to hear from you soon!

    3. Hi there Quein,
      Nishka Here!

Thank you so much for replying to my comment again! I am so amazed that we are making such a hugeeeee conversation! It is so nice knowing new people!

It is awesome to see that most of my tips have helped you learn how to do some Vector Art! I like how you are going to make a snowman and put them on presents (once you have printed them)!

I really liked doing the Vector Art activity and it has inspired me to do some more! I think that when I do Vector Art next time, I am going to make a memory of the one time I had bunnies =)

Have a great day and Happy Early Christmas!
      Hope that you reply soon!

Thank you for your positive reply, yes it is AWESOME!!! getting to know other people and having awesome positive conversations.

Thank you again for all your advise, the vector art is actually a lot of fun, that is so cool that you had a bunny rabbit once.

I only had a German Shepard once; he was a big softy and liked to play cricket with me. What is your favorite animal to have as a pet?

Keep up the Super work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
