Hey guys! It is Nishka here! Today I am making a blog post, well, I mean, of course I am making a blog post! Anyway, this blog post is an activity from the Summer Learning Journey! What I had to do for this activity is to make a collage which reminded me of Summer! What reminded me of Summer was Ice Cream, Soda... and many more! I haven't done this in a long time but I might as well do it again ;)

SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #6 - Geometric Animal Art

Hi there Bloggers (or viewers)! Today I am going to be making some art but this isn't just some regular art, it is Geometric Art! Yes, I know, a lot of you may be asking why I haven't been blogging for such a looooooooooong time, well, it is because I kind of wanted a break from all of the stuff I needed to do. Also I had some of my ancestors come and visit us from Auckland! It was fun having them over! Okay, enough of the chit chat and back to the topic. For this Geometric Art, we had to make a Geometric Animal that reminded us of Summer! 
What reminded me of Summer was a Ladybug! I think that Ladybugs are very cute and that they are very energetic!I love the way that you can find a lot of them and the way the fly in the air! 

Now, you may have realised that I have been chit chattering a lot! It is now time for me to show you my mAstErpieCe ✨

SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #5 - Building a Bridge

Hi there Bloggers! It is me, Nishka! Today I am going to be blogging for the Summer Learning Journey (again)! Anyway, today's blog post is about  'Building a Bridge'. I thought that this one was quite cool and I thought that I would give it a shot! It was actually quite challenging! 

I decided to make a Truss Bridge which can actually hold 32 ibs! I thought that that was quite heavy! While I was making the Truss Bridge, I thought... "What other Bridges could I make???". I just decided to make the Truss Bridge though. I made the Truss Bridge on a Google Drawing and I think that it looks awesome! What do you guys think? Please tell me your thoughts! SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #4 - Draw a Geometree

Hi there People! It is Nishka here! Today I decided to do a another math activity but it is also some arty stuff as well! You can either use pen or paper OR Google Drawings. I decided to use pen and paper because I thought it would be easier! It is called 'Draw a Geometree'! I found watching the video of how to do it very cool! 

Let me show you what mine looks like!

So, here is what mine looks like! I am really happy with it though I didn't really add much spaces. I thought that it still looked cool! I liked the way that all the colours I have added to this popped! My favourite colour from this would probably be Green! If I had said 2, it would be Purple and Green. Can you see a Scalene, Isosceles, and a Equilateral Triangle? I can't! I can only find both Scalene and Isosceles Triangle(s)! Can you find all? Comment Below! SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #3 - Vector Art!

Hi there bloggers! Can you guess who it is (drum roll in my head...), it is Nishka (bet you probably already knew that hehe)! Anyway, I made this blog post because it is are and I also loveeeeeee art! Art is so fun! Besides that, this blog post is about Vector Art! Now, you may or may have not heard about Vector Art before, so, if you don't understand, watch this video!

So, did you see the video? I hope you now know what Vector Art is if you didn't! Now that you have seen that, for this blog post, we had to create a Christmas Decoration from Vector Art! And then, we had to make that represent something that is unique to you and your family, I have made an ornament out of Vector Art and then put what is unique to me and my family!

Family is quite unique for me and my family thinks the same! This is because we have more boys in out family and we are all quite short! We also like opposites from each other! 

Underneath this text is where I originally got the picture of the cartoon ornament from so I would like to give credits to them for making it!

Anyway, now that you have read this hugeee toilet roll of words, I will have to say that this is the end of this blog post! But, of course, I will post another one tomorrow (if I have time)!

(Counting to Ten in Maori!) - SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #2 - E hia ngā mea?

Hi there bloggers (or people who just view (peoples blogs)! How are you guys! Anyway, this is my second blog post of the Summer Learning Journey! I really enjoy doing this and I hope you guys enjoy reading my blog posts! It is so nice to see people learning a new language! I really want to learn Spanish! 

Besides that, let me tell you what this blog post is all about! This blog post is all about counting to ten in Maori! It was very fun to do this! I also added a bit of spice to my poster ✨

So, this is what it looks like! It took me quite a while to do! This was because of the images! I am actually really proud of this and I hope you are too! The Summer Learning Journey is very exciting and has taught me a lot of stuff throughout YMS!

SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) - Blog Post #1 - Magic Maths!

Hey there guys! It has been a while, hasn't it? Anyway, I am so happy that I am able to make a blog post! If you didn't know, I have signed up for the Summer Learning Journey! I did this because I could get some cool, awesome prizes! I also did this because I want my knowledge to stay where it is! I don't want to lose my knowledge! That would be horrible! 

Besides saying all of that information, (which is a whole paragraph! I mean like, who wants to read a paragraph? Not me 🤡!) I am doing a blog post for the Summer Learning Journey! This blog post is called 'Magic Maths'! I found this one quite interesting and if you didn't know, I loveeeeeee maths! To be honest, I think it is the best subject in the world!

Last Blog Post of this Year, (maybe) =(

Hi there bloggers! This is your favourite blogger, Nishka (hopefully)! Anyway, I have some great news/sad news. This may be my last blog post for this year but I will be posting for the Summer Learning Journey! But still, this will be my last blog post! I have enjoyed many things here in Yaldhurst Model School like being with my friends and also making new friends! I have enjoyed it so I will be sharing some memories (at the end though)!

Besides that, let me tell you what school I am going to! I am going to Kirkwood! I am excited but that the same time scared! I won't know much people when I go there but I am also excited to know that my friends are going to Kirkwood! Now that i have told you some information, let me show you some pictures of my time at Yaldhurst Model School!

These are my favourite memories! The top one is our class photo and the bottom one is the Camp one back in Term 2! I love these memories and I will always remember them! How has your school year been? Are you going to a new school or a new class? Comment down below! Bye!

Hi there! My name is Nishka and today I am going to be telling you about what I did for this activity! This activity was about making your own image! Do you know how to make your own image? If you don't know how to make your own image, let me tell you! 

First of all, open a Google Drawing, then create an drawing with some tools! After making your picture, download the picture as a PNG Download! There you go! You have now made your image! Anyway, now that you guys have now learnt how to make your own image, let me show you mine! I had to make a monster for the Cybersmart Challenge! Let me show you!

Spring Learning Journey 2: Present or Future? What's Better?

Hi there people! My name is Nishka and today I am going to be telling you something! This is an awesome blog post because I am going to be telling you what will be better! You see, a lot of people think that the future will be much better and I think the same! But what about the past? What is the past is better than the future? Well, I think that this will shock you because, here I present something really cool! I will be showing you a drawing a made on Google Slides! This drawing is about what the present bikes look like and what the future bikes look like!

Spring Learning Journey: Which one will Fly the Farthest?

Hi there people! My name is Nishka if you didn't know! Welcome to my blog post or welcome back to my blog post! I hope you guys are having a great day so far! Anyway, do you know what today's blog post is? You probably already know because of the title. Anyway, today's blog post is about which plane went the furthest! This was actually really fun to do! 

If you want to know how long this took me all together, it took me 9 minutes (9 minutes and 1 second if you want to get technical). Just to be clear to you, these took 3 tries and I had to make 2 parts! I hate Screencastify for making videos only 5 minutes long! Anyway, you guys can now watch my videos!

 

So, the top one is part one and the bottom one is part 2! I really hope that you enjoyed this! Now, I am going to be telling you about why one plane went far and why one didn't! This is because the wings on the third plane are bigger so it can fly further! The last one had wings which were too small! But what about the second one? That one didn't have wings. Well, that one is simple! it went further because it was lighter! The best one was probably the third one because it went much further than the other planes!

Korfball, A Sport Just Like Netball and Basketball!

Hi there people! If you don't know who I am then let me tell you! My name is Nishka and today I am going to be telling you a game that we played on Wednesday! The game is called Korfball! It is just similar to Netball and Basketball!  In the first rounds, we could move with the ball but in the next rounds, we couldn't! It was so fun! We are going to be doing it next week Wednesday as well!

If you are wondering what the rules are, let me tell you!

• No physical contact
• You can't kick the ball
• You can't run with the ball
• You can not shoot when there is someone in front of you

We had a coach named Yuri! If you are wondering what gender, it is a boy! He is from the Netherlands! Anyway, besides that, let me show you a video of how to play Korfball!
